Whether you are confused, bemused, or enthused by blockchain technology, Singapore is the only place to be later this month to uncover all of its possibilities, applications and direction.
For the second year in a row BlockShow Asia will be held in Singapore, as part of an event that will eclipse last year’s programme.
BlockShow Asia 2018 will be just one part of Asia Blockchain Week, to be held over five days from November 27 to December 1. Some 100 speakers, 200 journalists, and 3,000 attendees from more than 50 countries are expected to attend the week-long event.
A reception on November 27, the first day of the show will introduce guests to the Asia Blockchain Week experience, having fun while building networks with industry professionals and insiders.
On November 28-29, BlockShow Asia will bring experienced entrepreneurs with real track records together under one roof with investors, talents, traders, and developers to share thoughts and ideas. BlockShow Asia organisers describe it as “an opportunity to connect and create new synergies with like-minded people that will shape the future”.
The show will also feature an art performance, with three art zones by the Art of Blockchain group, representing the synergy of modern art and modern technology called “Symbiosis”.
The famous CryptoMother art piece signed by Vitalik Buterin (valued at $6 million) will be there, alongside other pieces of crypto-art created by the group before and during the event.
Additionally, EXP20, a disruptive startup show within the framework of BlockShow Asia, will be present on the same date.
On the night of November 28, Mithril, a social network that rewards content creators, will sponsor an afterparty in the Lantern rooftop bar of Fullerton Bay Hotel, affording guests a panoramic view of Marina Bay.
On November 30, a one-day conference on the future token of economy has been organised by Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and Singapore Academy of Law. Topics to be discussed include Smart Contract and Regulation, Trust Distribution, ICO Listing and Regulation, and Regulations on Convergence of Technology.
On December 1, LongHash will preside over a real-life blockchain showcase at The Bridge. You can see the mature blockchain with your own eyes by coming into offices and co-working spaces, talking to founders, scheduling and doing follow-up meetings after four days of Asia Blockchain Week networking.
Token Day, with a carnival of food and goods available for purchase with crypto is just one of a number of events to be announced in the coming weeks.
Ticket prices vary depending on attendees: US$1,288 for normal attendees, US$2,388 for investors, and US$688 for startups. Prices will increase on November 15.
Tickets are available online at BlockShow Asia 2018.
