Luang Namtha weeds out 106 hectares of opium poppies
Luang Namtha authorities recently destroyed 106 hectares of opium poppies growing in 14 villages of the province. Head of the province’s Public Security Department, Lieutenant Colonel Alounyadeth Buasisavath, said poppies were found in the districts of Luang Namtha, Sing, Long and Viengphoukha.
