As of 01:10 GMT March 11 there was 215 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 throughout the 10 Asean member countries.

The most number of confirmed active cases are in Singapore where 73 people remain infected, with 10 people reported to be in a serious or critical condition.

The next highest number of active cases is in Malaysia, with 42 COVID-19 cases, two of who are regarded as serious or critical.

In the the Philippines 30 cases of COVID-19 remain active, with one person listed as serious or critical, while in Indonesia there are 25 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

In Thailand 19 people are confirmed with COVID-19, with one regarded as serious or critical, while in Vietnam 18 cases remain active.

Brunei confirmed five new COVID-19 cases in the past 24-hours pushing the total there to six, while last night Cambodia reported its third positive COVID-19 case, a 65-year-old British woman who had travelled from Vietnam. Laos PDR and Myanmar have not reported any COVID-19 cases.

There has been 451 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Asean member countries, with 234 people having been treated and discharged.

There has been two deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Asean member countries.

Global COVID-19 cases up to March 11

The number of new COVID-19 cases globally rose 3.98 per cent day-on-day (DoD) to 118,934, an increase of 4,553.

Globally the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 increased 6.66 per cent DoD to 4,293, an increase of 268, the majority in Italy. This is the most number of deaths in a 24-hour period since the World Health Organization (WHO) was notified of the outbreak on December 30, 2019. 

Meanwhile the number of people treated and discharged rose 3.89 per cent DoD to 2,495, bringing the number of COVID-19 survivors to 66,576.
