As people around the world wax lyrical about the landslide result over the weekend that saw the ruling Cambodia People Party (CPP) secure all 125 seats in the Cambodia Parliament we thought we would take a look at what the numbers reveal for what is being termed a ‘sham election’.
To add some context we’ve also added figures from the last Cambodia general election in 2013, and last year’s 2017 Cambodia commune election. We’ll update these figures as new data becomes available.
In the meantime, while many people are making all sorts of unsubstantiated, factually challenged claims, this is what the figures say about the 2018 Cambodia general election.
