00:41 | Craftsmen from the Department of Fine Arts (DFA) will commence painting murals depicting the 46 royal projects implemented nationwide by the late king Bhumibol Adulyadej on the walls of the Royal Marriage Making Pavilion.

01:31 | Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has told the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) that the Bt2.9 trillion (about US$85.169 bil) 2018 Thailand national budget will be used for strengthening all sectors of the Thai economy and in supporting the junta’s 20-year national development plan. Twenty-three billion baht ($675.477 mil) less than the 2017 Thailand national budget, the 2018 Thailand central budget has a target budget deficit of Bt450 billion ($13.216 bil).

04:43 | Bussadee Santipitaks, director general of the Department of Information at the Foreign Ministry said yesterday that progress is being made in the government’s efforts to promote national reconciliation. Ms Santipitaks said the ministry had participated in the work of four government-appointed subcommittees and prepared documents addressing the government’s ten areas of focus.

10:28 | Thailand’s Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) dropped in May for the first time in the last 6 moths, according to the Center for Economic and Business Forecasting (CEBF). The CEBF said Thailand consumer confidence fell from 77 April to 76 in May.

12:18 | Academics attending a seminar organised by the Bank of Thailand (BoT) have suggested that there should be better use of research to bring about sustainable solutions to economic problems at the root cause.

13:28 | The Office of SMEs Promotion (OSP) has organised a seminar to help prepare Thailand’s SMEs for the 4.0 era.

15: 17 | The Royal Irrigation Department (Rid) has increased the flow of water from the Chao Phraya Dam.

17: 39 | The Asean subcommittee of Thailand has held a seminar at the Government Public Relations  Department (PRD) to discus how to better promote the benefits of Asean.

19:00 | UBM and the Association of Researcher has held a seminar under the theme ‘data center infrastructure of Thailand 4.0’ at which Deputy Prime Minister Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong said the government aimed for Thailand to become the data center hub of Asean.
