• 00:40 |  The Department of Fine Arts (DFA) has announced that work on the royal crematorium for the cremation of the late king Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 26, 2017 is now 48 per cent complete.
• 01:43 | In a meeting with Thailand Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-ocha, Sigve Brekke, President and CEO of the mostly Norwegian government-owned telecommunications company Telenor Group – parent company of Thailand’s second largest mobile carrier dtac – pledged to support the government’s Thailand 4.0 strategy by investing in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) through the Digital Park Thailand project.
• 03:04 | The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) has announced that the yet to be established National Strategic Committee (NSC) will be increased from the original 14 members to 17, and that more than 3,000 comments on the draft national strategies law have so far been left on the government’s website.
• 04:12 | Deputy permanent secretary for transport, Peraphon Thawornsupacharoen, yesterday said the Ministry of Transport (MoT) will be submitting four electric train projects costing Bt358 billion (about US$ 10.511 billion) to the Cabinet for approval over the next month.
• 05:46 | King Prajadhipok’s Institute as released four video clips under the theme ‘Media for Peace’ aimed at promoting social harmony in Thailand.

• 12:56 | Thai fisherman have saved 14 Myanmar crew members from a cargo vessel which capsized off Phuket Province.
• 14:16 | Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr Somkid Jatusripitak, has led a delegation of Thai business leaders from the public and private sector on a three day trip to Laos PDR to explore increased trade between the two countries. Meetings with Lao officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Somdy Douangdy, resulted in the two countries agreeing to boost bilateral trade from $5.8 billion in the 2015-2016 fiscal year, to more than $10 billion by 2024.
• 15:36 | Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Bussadi Santiphithak, said yesterday that Thailand stands ready and willing to strengthen cooperation with Pacific islands nations in terms of economy, trade, investment and fishery.
Speaking in the wake of the 4th Thailand Pacific Island Countries Forum (TPIF), Ms Santiphithak said over the past three years, Thailand has provided 126 scholarships for the Pacific island countries, in addition to supporting important bilateral cooperation projects such as the Thailand-Fiji, and Thailand-Tonga projects to develop farming in line with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (Sep) of the late king Bhumibol Adulyadej.
