00:40 | Acting on the instruction of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Privy Councilor Charunthada Karnasuta has inspected water management projects at the Chao Phraya Dam, a sluice gate at Sapphaya district in Chai Nat, and the Bangchomsri sluice gate in Sing Buri Province.

01:40 | Speaking in the wake of a meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Thailand Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha said that while Thailand must maintain an appropriate position between the United States and North Korea (DPRK), it will honour United Nations (UN) and Asean decisions.

02:43 | Thailand Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed the Ministry of Education (MoE) to enlist more than 600 former Thai winners of Academic Olympiads to share their learning techniques in order to develop Thai students. The comments came as the Prime Minister congratulated the latest winners from international competitions who won seven gold, seven silver, and eight bronze medals. Thailand sent 21 students to participate in the fields of mathematics, computer science, chemistry, biology, and physics.

14:22 | A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Department of Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP), the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture, and the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC) to promote eco-friendly silk for commercial purposes. Some 247 out of 680 silk producers have already passed the requirements for the eco-friendly silk project.

15:30 | Chairman of the Thailand-China Business Council, Wikrom Kromdit, said yesterday that Thailand will benefit significantly from the combination of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and China’s One Belt One Road (Obor) policy. According to Mr Kromdit the combination will boost the Thai economy by no less than 0.5 per cent.
