The Thailand Post Office head of Bang Pla Soi Post Office in the eastern seaboard city of Chonburi has been transferred to the provincial Thailand Post Office after a video was posted on Facebook showing him sexually harassing a young female employee.
Pakkawat Kilapak said the he was only “joking with the employee” in the video, who he considered a “family member”.
He went on to add that he thought the video, which appears to have been filmed from a television playing an official Thailand Post Office CCTV recording with a date stamp of August 17, 2015 and a time stamp of 08:20 am, may have been posted by a staff member who disliked him.
In the video 58-year-old Mr Kilapak can be seen attempting to grab the unidentified employee who dodges the advance, with her head ending in Mr Kilapak’s groin, before he releases her and slaps her bum as she walks away. A caption posted with the original video states: ‘This high-ranking bureaucrat at Pla Soi Post Office has sexually harassed, bullied and threatened his employees many times’
“Maybe I have enemies”, Mr Kilapak told ASTV Manager, who also reported that the young female staff member has subsequently resigned.
